Beginner's 3D Printing Checklist
Everything you need to start. No fluff, just the essentials.
Essentials
- 3D printer (obviously)
- PLA filament - start cheap, 1kg roll
- Isopropyl alcohol for bed cleaning
- Spatula for removing prints
- Calipers for dimension checking
Software
- OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer (free)
- STL files from Printables or Thingiverse
First Print
- Benchy - the classic torture test
- 0.2mm layer height, 20% infill
- PLA at 210°C nozzle, 55°C bed
