How to Dry Filament

Wet filament is the #1 cause of failed prints. If your prints are popping, bubbling, or have weird blobs, your filament is probably wet.

Why it matters

Filament absorbs moisture from the air. When it hits the hot nozzle, the water turns to steam and causes popping, stringing, and layer separation.

How to dry it

Easy way: Put the spool in your oven at 60°C (140°F) for 4-6 hours. Keep the door slightly open.

Better way: Buy a filament dryer box ($30-50). It keeps your filament dry while printing.
