15 Free 3D Printed Halloween Masks You Can Print This Week

October 25, 2026 · 9 min read

Halloween is six days away. If you don't have a costume yet and you own a 3D printer, you still have time — provided you pick the right model and start tonight.

The masks below are all free to download, all printable on a stock FDM printer with PLA, and most will fit on a 256 mm build plate. I've kept to models that are genuinely wearable: they either have strap holes, sit over your face with an elastic band, or are sized for adults. Print times range from twenty minutes to about twenty hours, so there's something here whether you have one printer running all week or just an evening free.

3D printed red demon mask with horns

A printed oni-style demon mask with layered horns. Masks in this style print cleanly in PLA and take a coat of spray paint well.

Skull masks (the classics)

1. Customizable Skull Mask – Movable Jaw. A print-in-place skull mask with a jaw that actually moves, rated 5.0 by makers on MakerWorld. Full scale takes about 10.5 hours on an A1. The jaw hinge prints assembled, which is the part that makes this one worth the extra runtime. Free on MakerWorld.

2. Skull Mask V2 (with lower jaw). A clean, classic skull mask that fits the face well after the V2 update added a lower jaw and better sizing. Roughly 4 hours at default settings, and it includes holes for a string or elastic strap. Free on MakerWorld.

3. Tusked Skull Mask – Stylized Horror. A skull mask with heavy tusks and exaggerated, aggressive features. More of a display piece or dramatic cosplay prop than a subtle costume mask, but it gets reactions. Single plate, easy supports. Free on MakerWorld.

4. SKULL MASK (easy print). Designed for beginners: one piece, no supports needed, holes for strings, about 238 g of PLA. This is the one to grab if you want something printed and wearable by Saturday with zero fuss. Free on MakerWorld.

3D printed horror skull mask with multiple skull details

A detailed multi-skull horror mask. High-detail skull prints benefit from a smaller layer height on the face area.

Oni and demon masks

5. Oni Mask – Wearable High-Resolution. A traditional Japanese oni mask built from the ground up for cosplay and Halloween. The high-resolution model keeps the carved details sharp even on a 0.2 mm layer. Fits adults and prints as one piece. Free on MakerWorld.

6. Oni Mask – Japanese Demon Mask (MTR Studio). The other popular free oni on MakerWorld: 89.8 mm tall, 120 mm wide, ready in STL with supports included in the notes. A smaller build, so it prints faster than the high-res version — useful when you're down to the last few days. Free on MakerWorld.

7. Horned Hannya-Style Fantasy Mask. A demon-inspired face with tall swept horns, a central spike, and layered ornamental detail. Built for cosplay, display, and paint projects. If you want a mask that reads as "costume centerpiece" rather than "party prop," this is it. Free on MakerWorld.

8. Demon Skull Mask with Horns. An oni-skull hybrid: Japanese mask energy with a ferocious skull base, released July 2026. Dark, aggressive, and genuinely unique — the kind of print people ask about. Free on MakerWorld.

9. Demonic Oni Skull Mask (wall decor grade). Highly detailed horned skull with layered organic textures. Optimized for high-detail printing; also works great as a wall piece after Halloween if you'd rather not wear it. Free on MakerWorld.

Three 3D printed white Halloween masks

Three styles of white 3D printed masks. Light colors make layer lines less visible, so white PLA is the easiest finish for a clean look.

Horror icons and character masks

10. Freddy Krueger Mask. A wearable Freddy mask released in September 2026 — 14 hours at 0.2 mm, two walls, 5% infill, about 373 g of PLA with tree supports. If you're going as an 80s slasher, this is ready to burn and detail. Free on MakerWorld.

11. The Grinning One – Halloween Horror Mask. A mask with a purpose: an unsettling grin that's more "stay home" than "welcome." Keeps its impact in a single color, or you can build out a character with paint. Released September 2026. Free on MakerWorld.

12. Skeletor Mask. A stylized Skeletor mask from Wiberg Warriors. About 14.9 hours for the print profile. The designer recommends scaling to your head using their ref-maker tool before printing — worth the extra ten minutes, since mask fit is what makes or breaks wearing it. Free on MakerWorld.

13. Wearable Skull Mask – Comic Style. A comic-book-styled skull mask, wearable with a strap, with strap locations built in. Larger print — about 19.7 hours — so start it now if you want it for the 31st. Free on MakerWorld.

Pumpkin and quick prints

14. Inferno Pumpkin Skull Mask. Pumpkin ridges meet skull design — wearable, and it hits the Halloween sweet spot of "spooky but not terrifying." Also sells well as a display piece if you print extras. Free on MakerWorld.

15. Bat Wing with Horns Mask. The fastest mask on this list: about 22 minutes and only a few grams of PLA. It's small and decorative rather than full-face, but if you're hosting a party and want cheap props for every guest, print a batch of these. Free on MakerWorld.

3D printed green frankenzombie mask held in hand

A green horror mask straight off the build plate. PLA in darker tones shows layer lines more, so sanding or a matte clear coat helps the finish.

Printing tips so it actually fits and looks good

Scale before you print. Mask models are sized by the designer's head, not yours. Measure from your chin to your hairline, compare it to the model's stated height, and scale in your slicer. A 5% scale change is the difference between snug and unwearable.

Print the face up. For most full-face masks, orient the outside of the mask toward the nozzle so the layer lines stay on the inside. You'll still need supports in the eye sockets — plan for them instead of trying to avoid them.

PLA is fine. Every mask on this list prints in PLA, which is the cheapest and easiest material. It's not great for outdoor wear in heat, but for a night of trick-or-treating in October it holds up fine. PETG if you want extra toughness.

Think about the strap before printing finishes. Check the model page for strap holes. If there are none, print or buy a 2 cm elastic band that wraps around the back of your head — most masks can hold it with a bit of hot glue or a printed clip.

White hides layer lines. If the finished print looks rough, a matte white or bone-colored spray paint does more for the finish than sanding ever will.

3D printed black clown mask

A printed character mask in black PLA. Dark filaments show print lines more than light ones; a single coat of matte varnish fixes most of it.

Where to find more

MakerWorld has the biggest current collection of free, tested Halloween mask files, and the ones above are the models with the strongest community ratings. CGTrader also carries free mask STLs — including a Jason Voorhees mask and an Aliens face-hugger bust — and Thangs aggregates masks from dozens of designers with a useful "free" filter. Printables and Creality Cloud are worth a look for the same reason: designers post seasonal drops through October, and the newest files land within days of Halloween.

One honest note: don't sleep on print time. The comic skull above needs nearly twenty hours, and the Freddy mask needs fourteen. If you're reading this on the 25th and you only have one printer, you can finish roughly two of the bigger masks before the 31st. The quick prints — the bat-wing mask, the small oni, the easy skull — you can batch out in an evening.

Bottom line: You can still have a 3D printed Halloween costume this year. Fifteen free masks, all printable on a stock FDM printer this week. If you want zero risk, grab the easy skull or the bat-wing mask and print tonight. If you want the showpiece, start the comic skull or Freddy now — and don't forget to scale it to your head first.
