When a print needs to survive heat, stress and real service, PLA and PETG hit their ceiling. Carbon-fiber reinforced nylon (PA-CF) is the material that takes over — stiff, light, and heat-resistant up to ~120–140 °C. In 2026 it dropped from "industrial curiosity" to a consumer-price shelf item.
Chopped carbon fibers stiffen the nylon matrix, cut warping and give that purposeful matte-black look. The result: jigs, drone frames, automotive clips and end-use brackets that rival injection-moulded parts. CF-PA6 and CF-PPA lead on stiffness and heat; the community knowledge has finally caught up, so first-print success is realistic if you respect the hardware.

Polymaker and Fiberon are the engineering-material specialists. PA6-CF prints dimensionally stable with excellent layer bonding; Fiberon's PA-CF is a favourite for jigs and fixtures that see real load. Both document drying and chamber temps clearly.
eSUN brings PA-CF to a budget that undercuts Western retail by a wide margin. Prusament nylon is the consistency benchmark. Fiberlogy PA12-CF is prized for low moisture uptake and toughness; Raise3D and SainSmart round out the pro/mid options.
